Admissions to Apply for a Reception Place for the Academic Year 2025-2026
We welcome children into Ditton Church of England Junior School, following their seventh birthday, in year 3 through to year 6.
Our application process is very simple whether your child is joining us in year 3, or part-way through into another year. All the relevant forms can be found at the bottom of this page. We have a published admission number (PAN) of 64 per year group.

The timetable for ‘in-year’ appeals | |

Last day for lodging appeal forms | 20 School days after the decision letter informing you that you had not been offered a place. |
Invitation letter giving details about your hearing will be sent by the Clerk to the Independent Appeal Panel | At least 10 school days before the hearing. This MAY be emailed. All in year appeal will be heard within 30 school days of the appeal form being lodged. |
Closing date for any additional supporting evidence | FIVE working days before your hearing. You are advised that additional paperwork received on the day of the appeal hearing will not be taken into account. Please email to clerk@educationappeals.com Please note that slightly different rules will apply for any primary transfer appeals into Reception. |
Letter from the Clerk informing you of the decision of the independent appeal panel | Due to the high number of appeals, an e mail is sent a few working days after your hearing with the decision of the panel. This is followed up around 10 working days later with a letter outlining the panels reasons. |

In-Year Admissions
If you are interested in moving your child to our school from another school:
- Please contact the school office on 01732 843446 or email using the contact page for an appointment so we can show you around our wonderful school and answer any questions you may have.
- In some cases we are able to offer a taster session(s) for your child to experience typical lessons at our school.
- Please print off and complete the Application and In Year Admission forms, or alternatively the school office can provide these as paper or digital copies.
- Please provide proof of identification for you and your child as follows:-
- Council Tax/Signed Tenancy Agreement/Exchange of Contracts/Completion Document.
- Proof of adult’s address.
- Proof of child’s address.
- We will issue an Offer Letter with an agreed start date.
- A class will be allocated together with a PE house in order that you can purchase the appropriate coloured PE top.
