Colour Run Success Raises £1,000 for ellenor

Ditton C of E Junior School was delighted to welcome Lisa from ellenor to school to celebrate the incredible fundraising efforts of our recent Colour Run, proudly presenting the charity with a cheque for £1,000.

During the visit, Lisa spoke to pupils about the vital work that ellenor does to support children, adults and families across the local community, helping everyone understand the real difference their fundraising will make.

Pupils also heard all about the exciting We’re Going on a Bear Hunt trail taking place this summer across Gravesham and Dartford, where Ditton’s beautifully decorated bear, Blossom, will be on display in the Merchandise Hub in Bluewater for visitors to enjoy.

To round off the special assembly, the whole school enthusiastically joined in with a reading of We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, before our Headteacher led a heartfelt prayer, giving thanks for the kindness, generosity and community spirit shown by everyone involved.

A huge thank you to our pupils, families and staff for making this fantastic achievement possible. We are incredibly proud to support such an important local charity.
